Because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. – Phil. 1:5-6 (NIV)
Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. – Proverbs 29:18 (KJV)
Has God given you a vision in regards to what He wants to do in and through you? Perhaps you will conceive a child despite a doctor’s report to the contrary. Perhaps your body will be completely restored despite the report that your illness is incurable. Perhaps you will be getting married soon despite the fact that you are not even dating anyone. Perhaps you are about to land your dream job despite the fact that you are unemployed. Have you dismissed it because the vision seems too far fetched or too large? The truth of the matter is that the vision is too large for you to carry out on your own…rejoice in that truth. If it were small enough for you to accomplish on your own then you would do it in your own strength and would steal the glory that is due to God alone.
It is important to remember that when God gives you a vision, especially one that will have a profound impact on His kingdom, then the enemy goes to work overtime to attempt to sabotage the vision and knock you off course. His favorite tactic is to work through other human beings to trample your vision under foot. Don’t fret if people don’t understand or accept the vision, if it is meant for them to understand, God has the power to reveal it to them. Nevertheless, God allows the enemy to take his best shot because He trusts that you can withstand the attack with His help.
Write the vision down…keep it ever before you. Thank God in advance for it. Take the necessary measures to prepare for the vision as though it will come to pass without delay. As you keep the vision before you and walk it out, that actually represents your faith being released into the atmosphere telling God that you believe in Him despite what your current situation looks like. God not only trust you with the vision but He expects you to protect it until it is carried out to completion.
Lord, I thank You for impregnating me with Your vision of what’s to come. I will walk by faith and take the necessary measures to prepare for the vision until You give birth to it through me.
