When you were in school did you enjoy taking tests? What is the first thought that comes to mind when you hear the word test? For many of us, the thought of that word typically breeds a feeling of uneasiness. If anything, we usually avoid tests at all cost. Tests generally challenge us to the core of our being. They cast a bright spotlight and challenge our knowledge and belief systems.
Tests are not usually sought after. We don’t usually say, “I can’t wait to take that test so I can prove that I know it all.” Well, maybe a few would disagree with that statement because they feel that they have done their due diligence and are well prepared and ready to show that they have retained the information.
Nevertheless, God desires for tests in our lives to be viewed in a positive light. He has left us the Word to use as our textbook. It contains the answers to any and all challenges we could ever possibly face. Despite the fact that the world may give tests to trip us up, God allows us to experience them so that we can see our whereabouts from a spiritual standpoint and achieve success with His help. God is always ready to turn our test into a testimony.
Lord, I thank You for the realization that the tests I face encompass so much more than what meets the eye. Thank You for being on the sidelines cheering me on so that the test can manifest into an awesome testimony that will spur along me as well as others to draw nearer to You.
