Serving as a Conduit for Heaven to Display Its Glory on Earth

images4BXHN4C8However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”—the things God has prepared for those who love him—these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For, “Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ. – 1 Corinthians 2:9-10, 16 (NIV)

If you are the owner of any electronic device, I’m sure you have come to realize that the competition in this industry is absolutely fierce. Each company tends to look to the one who is generating the most revenue as the one to conquer. The less superior companies don’t typically come up with fresh, one of a kind, inventions but try to use the leading company as a stair step to rise above. They pride themselves on replicating the leading company’s product and on occasion, create one superior feature.

Unfortunately, in life we tend to do the same thing. Instead of looking vertically to God for unique and creative ideas, we view life as a competition. We tend to look horizontally at our peers as though they are a force to be reckoned with. Essentially, we are settling for mediocre, as we try to replicate their actions and attain similar possessions.

God wants so much more for us and from us. He is calling us to shift our focus from our peers onto Him. He has unique heavenly, one of a kind, ideas that will produce heavenly materials that no one can replicate. Each one of us was uniquely crafted by His hands to serve as a conduit for Him to bring forth these materials. It will showcase His divine nature and proclaim that there is no way that man could have accomplished this apart from God, all the while demanding that all glory be given to Him.

Prayer

Lord, help me to realize that this life is not a competition with my peers. I was put here to serve as a conduit for You to usher in heavenly ideas and products so that Your glory would be made known on this earth. As I walk out the purpose and plan for my existence, alongside other believers, may You get every ounce of respect and glory that is due Your name.
