The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows). – John 10:10 (AMP)
If you have ever been robbed by someone, I’m sure you will agree that it entails more than just the loss of your material possessions. It entails a breach in the sacredness of your personal space. Due to the violation of your personal space, it more than likely shook you to the core your being. As that person exited the scene, so went your internal peace, joy and sense of security. If that were not enough, an exchange took place, you were then left with a tape of the incident that was stuck on the replay mode in your mind.
Unfortunately, in our everyday life, the enemy serves as that robber who invades our space and steals our internal peace, joy and security. He replaces it with repetitive footage that plagues our minds with fear, doubt and discouragement. He is quite crafty; He knows that if he merely inserts a tape that is filled with negativity, it will put us in a state of paralysis and he can essentially kick back and rest.
If this speaks to your situation, it is time for you to take back your life. Demolish the destructive old tapes and render your brain as an off limit territory to the enemy. Replace those tapes with the truth from God’s Word which will in turn restore an atmosphere conducive for internal peace, joy and security to grow and flourish.
Lord, thank you for reminding me that You do not want me to live a defeated life. I resolve that the old tapes will no longer occupy space in my mind. Thank You for making a way for me to life an abundant life on this side of heaven.
