“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’ – Matthew 25:21 (NIV)
Are you waiting on God to increase your borders? Perhaps you are tired of barely getting by. Perhaps you would love to be able to help others out but you are reserving your assistance for a time in your life when God blesses you with more.
As you are expectant, are you respective of the things He has blessed you with at present? Do you acknowledge that everything you have comes from Him? Not only does it comes from Him but it is to be used for His glory. Once we understand that, we will see that there is no such thing as disposable income to be used however we so choose.
If we truly want to be blessed with more, it must begin with a shift in perspective. The whole servant and master analogy displays that we have a job to do while we are here on this earth. Our purpose is not to be self-serving but to be sub-serving in God’s overall plan for humanity.
Lord, help me to be reflective and respective of every dollar You place into my hands. I realize that this life is inclusive of me but it is not solely about me. I will use what You have entrusted to me in a manner that will point people to You and give You the glory that is due Your name.
