“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 (NIV)
Are you ready to forge ahead but opposition seems to push you back down every time? Perhaps you have even embraced and accepted defeat thus, chalking it up to the thought that progress must not be in your future. Perhaps you even think that if it is in God’s plan for you to move ahead then surely it wouldn’t be so difficult.
One thing is certain, there is an enemy who does not want us to move ahead, especially if it involves a scenario that will bring glory to God. It is important to expect opposition. If we want to get to the other side, it requires that we go through whatever is in front of us in order to get there.
If you want to achieve success, you must get a clear picture of the game plan. Fix your sight on the end zone. You must receive God’s message as though you have just been thrown a pass and are running toward the end zone to score the winning point. Stand strong as you forge ahead and hold tightly to the ball as the opposing team tries to tackle you. Don’t stop until you hear “well done, good and faithful servant”.
Lord, thanks for being my backbone to help me stand strong and firm as I press through opposition in order to get to the other side where I gain victory, all for your glory.
