Destined to Overcome

“Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:28-31 (ESV)

imagesH40BLR7CAre you dealing with a hardship that seems impossible to overcome? Perhaps you have attempted to overcome it a time or two but the force that was pulling to keep you down and the resistance pressing against you was more than you could bear. Perhaps the force that is pulling to keep you down are naysayers. Maybe the resistance attempting to keep you from moving forward are a perceived lack of opportunity or unfair treatment.

Nevertheless, overcoming issues in life is similar to giving birth. You never know how long you will have to push but even still, you understand the necessity of pushing in order to take hold of your bundle of joy. It is essential that we allow the God-given vision to be burned onto the canvas of our minds. After all, what we stare at the longest tends to become the strongest. As we stare at the promise, the obstacles will become faint and and eventually lose power over us.

There is a question that you must answer. Are you really ready to forge ahead? In order to move ahead you must come to a place where you are sick and tired of being sick and tired. You must make a firm commitment in your heart that you are determined to make it to the other side so that when you put your hand to the plow and forces start to pull you down, you will not turn back.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for giving me a vision of what is in store for my future. Help me to muster up every bit of strength and determination to press in and press on in order to take hold of the promise.
