May God himself, the God who makes everything holy and whole, make you holy and whole, put you together—spirit, soul, and body—and keep you fit for the coming of our Master, Jesus Christ. The One who called you is completely dependable. If he said it, he’ll do it! 1 Thes. 5:23-24 (MSG)
Are you working really hard on a task at hand? Perhaps you look around and notice that everyone else seems to be enjoying life and moving about at a much slower pace. You may even feel a bit resentful because they have spare time on their hands but are not in the least bit willing to assist you. Perhaps you are wondering why God is not forcing them to assist you.
Have you ever considered that it is highly possible that God is not only refraining from pressuring them to assist but He is the culprit who is preventing them from assisting? Perhaps you are wondering why God would do such a thing. After all, doesn’t He see the stress you are under and know that you are at your wits end?
Take heart, God does care deeply about the severe stress you are under. It may just be a period whereas, He wants to isolate you so that instead of reaching outward for assistance, you will reach inward and discover and develop your innate gifts and talents. Above all, He wants you to recognize that He is your “go to” guy.
Lord, thank You singling me out and restraining others from offering assistance. I am grateful that it provided a training ground for me to tap into your power as well as tap into the reservoir of my God-given abilities.
