The Lord will work out his plans for my life—for your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever. Don’t abandon me, for you made me. — Psalm 138:8 (NLT)
And then God answered: “Write this. Write what you see. Write it out in big block letters so that it can be read on the run. This vision-message is a witness pointing to what’s coming. It aches for the coming—it can hardly wait! And it doesn’t lie. If it seems slow in coming, wait. It’s on its way. It will come right on time. — Habakkuk 2:3 (MSG)
Has God given you a vision about an assignment He is calling you to carry out during your time on this earth? Perhaps much time has passed by and the vision has not yet come to pass. You may even be questioning if you heard God correctly or if you truly have the ability to discern His voice. Perhaps your discouragement has resulted in looking to others for answers.
Out of desperation to be accepted and validated, you may have polled many people for their input. Most likely, based on the typical negative response to a God-ordained larger than life assignment, you feel that you’ve received confirmation that you’ve misinterpreted God’s instruction. After all, come to think of it, it doesn’t make logical sense to you as well.
One thing is certain, if God said it, He will do it! If you’re feeling like it is an impossible feat, it’s because your focus is on your ability, or lack thereof. It is God’s vision and you are a mere participant. Rest assured, God will always send confirmation but it typically doesn’t involve the masses. Refrain from getting discouraged due to other’s lack of support. God has reserved this tailor-made, one of a kind unique assignment solely for you to accomplish. With His guidance and direction, you will accomplish greatness!
Lord, thank You for giving me a fresh one of a kind assignment directly from Your throne room. Help me to realize that I don’t need approval from the masses. As long as I have Your anointing, I will accomplish what is perceived to be impossible.
