For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. – 2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)
Do you have a decision to make but you’re experiencing conflicting thoughts? Perhaps your thoughts are jumbled together and it has left you in a state of mass confusion. You may be in a holding pattern because of the fear of failure.
If you are feeling fearful to make the wrong decision, it may be time to take a step back and peel back the layers of your emotions in order to extract the truth. Perhaps the confusion is stemming from a desire to please man instead of simply serving God in total obedience and leaving the outcome in His capable hands.
One thing is certain, God is not a God of confusion nor has He given us a spirit of fear but of clear calculated thoughts and of a sound mind. It may be beneficial to allow the worst case scenario to play out in your mind so that you can move forward in confidence knowing that no matter what, you will still be standing with God always at your side.
Lord, I surrender my fear of man’s judgment if I make a wrong decision. I praise You for showering my mind with clarity, peace and stability so that I can make God-centered decisions and give You glory in the process.
